Monthly Archives: July 2009

I won’t be gone, still part of the nightlife scene as most of you know. I’ve been to LIV a few times, did RokBar a couple and Poolside Sundays will become my new Sundays for the rest of the summer. And this Thursday – I will join the Poplife crew to catch some freshness in the RedRoom at the Shore Club.

Finally after almost two weeks, I’ve had a chance to post some of my favorite images of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

I start right here with the KRELwear Not So Swim Show 2010 help on July 14, 2009.

In a hot and steamy room – this private show was held (close to midnight) with several buyers, socialites and fans (already placing their order on the new collection).

Without getting into any details of my drama at Electric Pickle, I’d rather get to the positive. It was nice to see Lazaro and Jorge. I haven’t heard Jorge (Jay You) spin since SET “back in the day” and Laz gave me the word on his new record label. I also had the opportunity to hear his new track in the mix of conversation and working on shooting Mr. D, but I will review that later on after I get it to hear it complete with out distractions when he sends it my way.

Too bad the Pickles upstairs space doesn’t vent well. The smoke was burning my eyes and I know I’ve second hand smoked like two packs tonight. The crowd was a ratio of 10 to 1 guys to girls, a bit of a sausage fest, but it wasn’t a meat market. People were there to dance.

Dancing at Electric Pickle

Some of my peeps were there; Afrobeta, Ramon, Musical Missionary, and a few others, made me feel chill, took some snaps. But shooting in there was challenging. It was too dark so I’d either be blinding them,  so i went for the bounce for some color. I need color and ambiance to share in the pictures what the party is about.

Downstairs was really nice, AC pumped, air was clear and Induce was throwing down the funk and acid house. More familiar faces were there, did some chatting, snapped some shots and I took a break. Thanks to Tomas (Aquabooty) for his hospitality and also to you two ladies at the door, for keeping me calm and semi collected. Your hospitality is not over looked and very much appreciated.

Pictures will be posted on New Times with a short blurb of some of my details of this experience on Diary of a Flasher on Crossfade also on Newtimes next week.
