Only because it’s George Clinton. Tonight Florida Room at Delano – a show with some funk.

But if you can’t make it then stay in, make dinner, watch a movie. Tonight I’m shooting girls in barely there lingerie. Like seriously, it’s a job.

And this weeks Diary, right here.

if you have nothing or something to do, you must do this:

think of it like this: it’s a space with a party that resembles a fair, with music, art, people who like art and good times. Free to enter, and get on the ride – at your own risk.

This Saturday, May 30th.

There is a new and improved Gravitron, a Himalaya Dance Party, the LARDASS food concession all brought to you by Meatball aka Robert Lorie and Justin H Long. Fresh.

If you’re not here for the Hip Hop Fest (I refuse to call it “urban weekend”), it’s already packed on the beach as of yesterday. The rain has kept everyone inside, but I will be hitting the streets soon to document.

If you are here on South Beach and wanted more information, check out: www.blackbeachweek.com.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

PS 14, White Room, Vagabond goers…

Please be advised: Traffic in the downtown Miami area directly around the Adrienne Arsht Center will be heavy today, Wednesday, May 20.

Biscayne Boulevard will be closed between NE 13th Street and NE 15th Street through 2:00 AM tomorrow morning.

The closures are in preparation for this evening’s closing ceremonies of The U.S. Travel Association’s 41st annual International Pow Wow, a premier international travel industry conference that brings together nearly 3,000 travel industry professionals from every region of the USA and more than 70 countries to conduct business negotiations that result in the generation of over $4 billion in future travel to the United States.

Around The 305 gallery for April 2009:

I had some of the PS 14 shots I took there one Friday night for Nasties thing. I ran into Jake Jefferson who was with a gorgeous woman who’s a DJ for Prince. Didn’t catch her name, I was too mesmerized with her look.

Then Thursday night for a quick stop by for Shake at Vagabond. It was some kind of Hialeah party, with dominoes, Ňoo Que Barato signs, Latin dollar store merchandise throughout the venue and yummy cuban drink and bites to bring it together.

Art Walk Second Saturdays at Wynwood will sometimes have a GREAT surprise so we go from time to time. Feel in love with the New World gallery space and their “screening exhibit”.

Then to OHWOW for  Scott Campbell’s Make It Rain exhibit. It was downtowners everywhere plus Josh Hartnett (yes, the actor) who I did not shoot but you can see him in between these two below:

…that was Mel in mid sentence trying hard to get me to shoot him.

At RA Sushi in the Gables I had to work an event for a fund raiser sometime during the week. But my attention was on these three who were doing Sake Bombs. Notice the sake shot on the forefront complete misses the beer cup, but a red napkin happily welcomes it and enjoys it.

And finally images of an event I won’t mention or the venue but wanted to share some of the images I shot after I had my two cocktails.
