December 7, 2008

Last day. Sunday. No closing parties, everyone just wanted to go home. BUT…we headed out to catch some more of the art.

::row 1::
The ruby red shoes are still hanging around town, so look up. These are four I managed to shoot. What they are about? Don’t know, but they are pretty cool.

::row 2::
Sculpt.

::row 3 -8::
Street art. Obey ruled Miami.

::row 9 & 10::
Made it just in time for Art Miami. Pretty cool.

::row 11 – 15::
More street art, by 21st street.

::row 16 – 23::
Inside Pulse. We had 5 minuets to walk around. They had the wrong time printed on the official maps. Strange but coo: the castle is made out of hair. Very cool: the peacock is made out of acrylic nails, hair clips, and eye lashes.

::remaining rows::
trucks packing up the art and a pit stop (again) at the celebrity filled ping pong event. Everyone was hung over and over the art. I still had one more place to hit. Heathrow. After an hour, I had to go. it was almost 11 and the party had been going on since 8 pm. I was done.

The first Christmas lights I noticed that week.

I woke up pretty early to edit Poplife pictures from last night (it’s up here) and to catch up with some old friends on FB.

Me and my disco balls at 6 am today.

I have Vagabond pics too. We did a stop by and took some friends to show them around, so I took advantage and captured some moments. Went into PS 14 where the tech guy was spinning some serious break beat. Nice work.

But I returned to White Room where we ran into a friend and I discovered so many interesting things. After some button pushing and capturing some flicks with some new faces, Big turned to me and said, “it’s 5 am”. Ahyy another long night out there.

Best memory last night: The ride from LIV to DWNTWN with Jessica and Karelle. Thanks Cardiacs.

Last night, did the “event rounds” and visited the Buddah Bar at Karu and Y for an event OD was giving, then went to the fabulous Fountainbleu and sat out side waiting for birthday boy JO – aka Jochy. We were given a nice drink, but ours had too much tonic. Next time, Stoli on the rocks.

Lot’s of local celebs came out for the birthday boy, but I had to be out. We went to Vagabond where it was packed and our friends were there by the fire under the full mood with great music. Cute tree.

I still am editing and running around. Tonight, working at Poplife but before, celebrating with the models of Irene Marie.

Bettie had a heart attack December 6th, was on life support until December 11, 2008 and died at 6:41 PM PST.

In 2006, Bettie Page and Halo Guitars collaborated to produce a limited edition of custom guitars, released at the 2007 Winter NAMM show in southern California. The total run of one hundred guitars were hand-made by luthier Waylon Ford, painted by the artist Pamelina H., and signed by Bettie Page.

In 2009, Academy Award nominated director Mark Mori will release the official authorized documentary biography, Bettie Page Reveals All. After more than 10 years of working with Bettie Page this film provides a unique look into her life. The film contains exclusive interviews with Bettie Page and important figures in her life and career, such as Hugh Hefner.

Just got home from a longer-than-usual night out. It’s almost 1 am and I can not put into words about how excited I am to head into bed. Great mattress, nice pillows, I love my sheets, the windows are open (cool weather in Miami tonight) and I got the job done. And to add to my great night ending: Abel just handed me the piece of my flash I lost during the wild night at Prom at Vagabond. That was over two weeks ago. I LOVE THAT MAN. Seriously.

The juicy spot, Laguardia in Wynwood. BEST KEPT SECRET.

I will be there for his show. These are my gloves along with my gin and tonic at LIV (also known as 54) on opening weekend. I know I have a million and one galleries I need to post, and this is one of them…

I am still trying to catch up with galleries on my site. But if you need to see now: check some here.

Right now, I’m heading to some shindig at one of these mansions on the islands. Today, it’s gray, there’s a bit of a drizzle and my AC is on, since it’s humid outside, so it’s a perfect day for staying in bed and catching up on sleep. If it looked like this….

… it would be easier to head out, but I am going. Its time to hustle.
