Monthly Archives: September 2008

Saturday night was good. We ended up at the haunted house in Wynwood – more details coming up and those pics will be on Miami.com later on.

Saturday was pretty interesting. Since I was in the area, I made a pit stop at Ocean Drive Fall Fashion Week closing party at The Collection on Bird Road and Ponce De Leon in the Gables. As usual, some of the event circuit people were there drinking and eating away (best part of watching them is the giftbag searching). I also ran into friends who were clearly on the happy juice, but nothing interesting there. We did share some hee hee ha has, but I was sober and that combination never works for me.

I covered this event with my eyes and ears. Doing some people watching and listening to the music. This adorable chic was walking around with her boy crew and I had to stop her to catch her outfit. I loved it. Great top, great earrings and what a laugh. I was on my way out – really running on my way out, so I didn’t catch any details.

- It’s the last day for Ocean Drives Fashion Week – not going.
- I am finishing an album shoot I’ve taken much too time to do.
- Letting the ideas flow for a show in November.
- Will have FTV playing all day. Good music, London fashions are amazing!
- Shooting a fashion story…I love my new camera.
- Will be sorting some clothes for Sundays Yard Sale.
- Doing some car work and maybe cleaning the poor thing.
- Making a nice lunch.
- Going to haunted house in Wynwood.
- Ending it at Poplife with The Glimmers.

New galleries From July till two weeks ago:

BELOW: Jamie Lidell at Heathrow. I was busy upstairs shooting for client, so by the time the show started, I was lucky to have found my way close to the stage.

Below: First time I went to Black Sunday at Bella Rose. I was shooting for client, but here are some outtakes from that night. I had to be home by 1 am, early meeting the next day.

BELOW: The few shots I took at Spazio Negro or something like that – inside Segafredo on Brickell. This place is too small and there for too crowded to be so snobby. I was in and out in under 30 mins.

BELOW: At Poplife. A day I arrived too late to see anyone. I love the UK.

BELOW: This was on a the second Saturday of the month (August) and Art Walk was dead. I ran over to New Times Fashion event in Midtown to hang out and decided to take some shots. I love the way this picture  turned out. A couple of weeks ago, I saw this on Plum TV and I realized that is what New Times did with my picture.

BELOW: Earthdance Miami at Soho Studios – Shooting for client. Best part for me were these African dancers and drums. I almost lost it and started to do kudoro dancing.

BELOW: Honor Roll Studios party with school girl cocktail chic’s – I shot this for a client. Good party, good vibe, mixed downtown and uptown crowd. Obviously I shot my people but also some new faces that didn’t understand I shoot in candid mode.

BELOW: Art. And I don’t get it. But then again, some people don’t like my ‘art’. This is the Art Season opener. I was shooting for a client, but I was also catching some great art. The most packed I’ve seen the area since Art Basel.

My friend is selling this on EBAY: Click on the picture for the auction page.

Up for auction is a rare freak miracle pink M&M found inside a CURE FOR BREAST CANCER peanut M&M bag. I was eating my M&M’s when I came upon it in disbelief because this M&M resembled an actual pink breast WITH NIPPLE!!

The lucky winner of this Bid will receive the empty bag that was home to this M&M and the actual Breast with nipple M&M carefully packaged.

Check out the photos for yourself and marvel at this oddity. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind auction!

Good luck bidding!!

It felt like a tropical storm last night, but that did not stop the lovers of fashion and readers of Ocean Drive head over to Setai for the third day of OD Fashion Week. The show was more of an installation with models dressed in Escada’s Fall collection in the lobby.

Here is a link of last nights events.

Still feeling that night.

Here is a gallery of Upper Eastside Garden & their extended room, G Lounge of what I thought was going to be a public golfing evening at this cool outdoor spot. Turned out the whole place was rented out for my boy Gino’s birthday bash and it was out of control.

Mini golf, DJ Johnny The Boy, dancing, videos of Madonna, drinking, great weather, bites, bunny heads and a great group of people made this night unforgettable.

Here is the link to the gallery.
