Ferris Takes Off In Miami!
22 SepYou are cordially invited to the John Hugues High 20 Year Reunion.
It’s been an awesome summer with the John Hughes themed Flickin’ Summer Movie Series at the Gusman Theater. Thus far Molly had been taking the spotlight with Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, and The Breakfast Club, but Matthew Broderick will take the cake this week with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
This Flickn is extra special because it’s John Hughes High 20 Year Reunion themed! As always cocktail hour starts at 6pm, and Miami’s cult thespians The Front Yard Theater Collective will take on entertainment duties with improv games to keep you on your feet, they’ll also be giving away prizes so make sure to look out for them!
I will be manning the photo booth, so make sure to wear your best 80s outfit because your photo will be up for king and queen of the reunion. I have a surprise for you when the screen rises and the party begins. So come up on stage and dance!

The movie screens at 7pm, and the dance party kicks-off right after. The hottpants-strutting headband-wearing DJ Hottpants will provide sounds for the night with your favorite 80s hits and cult classics, and the night’s MC’s will be Josh “Vajayjay” Fernandes and Gaby Gabriela. DID YOU READ THAT?!?!? DJ Hottpants??? If you don’t know – come hear and dance to see what he’s all about.
Only $10 – available at the door.

On This Day 2010
30 JunIt’s Social Media Day and a year ago I spent it with some of the Miami bloggers at The Pelican on South Beach for what I think was the first one.

28 JunRebecca’s Rubber Room let me into her bedroom or what I referred to as “the dungeon” before her move to her new condo.
For years, her and I have been trying to get together, but I could never get it down. Travel, schedules, it’s like we have chaotic lives at the time. Honestly there was no vision for this shoot, but in some strange way, I liked the grime and darkness that we created. Here you can see her closet, her basket of whips and sticks and on the left a vacuum bed. The soundtrack in the background was Tool I believe.

25 JunIn 2009 was an “all dayer”. Morning Dolphins Press Conference with the Estefans talking about being part owners of the Miami Dolphin and the opening of a new restaurant (now closed) Au Pied de Cochon on South Beach. We ended it at PS14.

Daily Picture on NefariousGirl.com
24 JunIt’s been over a year since I was going out daily to photograph the club life in Miami, so keeping up with the site that is recognized for cocktail infused images of the disco lighted rooms and the kids of the downtown scene, is almost impossible since I photograph other projects outside of the club. What we are going to do is strip the site down to a minimal, not that it’s not already, but instead of the archived galleries reposted, here’s what we’re gonna do:
I’ll be posting a picture (maybe two, three…) of my favorites and some never before seen photos from the past of what I shot that day. The postings start on July 1 2011 on NefariousGirl.com and just to kick it off, here is what I shot on this day in 2005:
Nicole Richie at the opening of Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale – June 24, 2005

I was covering for the weekly Girl About Town column on CoolJunkie and I had no idea what to expect. It was my first red carpet and that day I knew shooting red carpets wasn’t for me.
I like this shot because I still remember the chaos happening behind me and friend Jose Ortiz (orange top) is right there escorting Miss Richie down the carpet.
